Around 1,000 km of well-maintained hiking paths crisscross the valley. The broad and, at least initially, barely rising valley bottom, in combination with its mountain lifts, is perfectly suited for hikes in the Alps - both for experienced mountaineers and the casual hiker. And some of the best hikes can be found very, very close to our hotel! Our summertime guests have a wide selection of hiking and mountaineering routes to choose from, ranging from easy to challenging. And when it's time to take a break and cool off, where better than the crystal-clear natural lakes and outdoor swimming pools of the Zillertal.
The Zillertal also has quite a reputation with bikers - we have some truly exciting bike routes! Over 800 km, to be precise, both for cyclists and mountain bikers! Whatever your taste, there's something for everyone - from family-friendly cycle paths in the valley bottom, to mountain bike trails that put your technique and conditioning to the test. So, whether you are on a street or a mountain bike, overcome your own personal limits with imposing alpine scenery as your constant companion. And when you are ready for a rest and refreshments, the many alpine huts of the Zillertal await.
But here with us in the Zillertal, you can explore on two axes, both horizontal and vertical! A number of climbing centers and mountaineering routes present you with exciting challenges tailored to your ability, giving you an up-close-and-personal encounter with the rugged rock faces of the Alps. The Zillertal, after all, boasts some of the best rock-climbing areas in all of Europe. Plus, we also have opportunities for ice climbing, bouldering and indoor climbing. And - paragliding is an option here year-round!
